The Iowa Disaster Human Resource Council has been recognized as a national and state leader in disaster.
- The IDHRC was named as the 2010 VOAD of the Year at the National VOAD conference.
- Don Hampton, long-standing member of the IDHRC, was recognized as the 2013 National VOAD Volunteer of the Year.
- The IDHRC Disaster Case Advocacy Committee received a Governor’s Volunteer Award in 2014.
