
Patti Fields!
With over 25 years of experience in nonprofit work and 16 years in a senior leadership position, Patti Fields is a leader in community development, capacity building and volunteer engagement at the local and state level. She has developed continuing education curriculum and presented numerous trainings, workshops and webinars for nonprofit professionals. She has written successful grants at the local, state and federal levels. Patti collaborated and built strong relationships with local governmental entities, businesses, and many nonprofit agencies in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Health & Wellness, and Disaster Preparedness, Response & Recovery. She coordinated the Johnson County Long-Term Recovery Committee and COAD through six disasters and was the Emergency Volunteer Center leader in the Johnson County Emergency Operations Center.
Appointed by Governor Culver in 2008 to the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, Patti served on the Commission for seven years and chaired the Commission for three years. Patti served on the Iowa City Community School District Board of Education from 2005- 2015 and served on Board of Directors of the Iowa Association of School Boards from 2011-2015, she served as President from 2012-14. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Iowa, her Volunteer Management Certificate from Kirkwood Community College, her Nonprofit Management Certificate from Iowa State University, her Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Workplace Certificate from University of South Florida and the CVA accreditation from the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration.
